This is my first official Renpy game, and yes, it is a fangame for 'Something's Wrong With Sunny Day Jack'

I understand that in light of recent events (at least if any of you have been In The Know about the general going ons of Snaccpop Studios) this might feel a bit tone deaf or maybe even seem shady. But I assure you this is entirely non-profit, and I've been conceptualizing this game for a good five months, starting back as far as late February.

But it wasn't all on my efforts alone as the person who helped encourage and gave me the "OK" to launch the project's production was none other than my mutual, Meat, or @themeatpit37 on Tumblr. This all came to fruition because of them sharing their AU of the visual novel, appropriately named 'Gorefest'.

Gorefest is an 80's slasher AU taking inspiration from splatterpunk novels. It focuses on the titular "Jack" not as a mysterious ghost of dubious origins but a deranged man terrorizing the city he inhabits while in a mask based off a cartoon about happy little animals, his primary targets being women and children.

The idea was stomach churning and yet incredibly intriguing, and from there we spitballed ideas between the other, me exploring it as an open "sandbox" of sorts to experiment with the scenarios my OCs would get up to and them regaling me with the engaging lore filled with bits of true crime, psychological and even domestic horror.

It was after a few months of daydreaming and doodling that I knew this had to be shared. And though this is only the beta, and my coding may be a little rusty, it means so much to me that there are those that have expressed interest in seeing this game in action.

Please do tell me if you're experiencing bugs and give honest criticism.
